I gained valuable experience in compositing with After Effects while working at a small animation studio in London. Since then, I have applied this knowledge to commercial projects, working within brand guidelines. One of the most significant and demanding projects I worked on was for TATA STEEL (NDA), where I collaborated with industry professionals and worked as part of a team. My role involved compositing and artistically grading footage, integrating painted backgrounds, adding 3D elements, and preparing assets for further paint-over work by the artists.
COMPOSITING FOR KIDS PROPERTIES
I have worked on several kids' properties for TV and online, including Sky Ocean Rescue: Dive In and Do It, Marco Polo Learning, and The Balloon That Went on Holiday. I have contributed in various ways, including compositing, with workflows tailored to specific assets. This included compositing 3D renders with backgrounds as well as integrating 3D renders with graphics to create seamless, engaging visuals.
CLEAN BANDIT SCREEN VISUALS
This piece was created using a range of compositing techniques to achieve a unique look. Starting with a rough style frame and green screen footage of dancers, I used Red Giant plugins along with built-in After Effects features to create the visuals shown below for a Clean Bandit concert screen sequence.
SOCIAL MEDIA COMPOSITING
Compositing can help capture attention on social media. Here is an example of an opening sequence created for a recut of an MBA education video, adapted specifically for social media.
Using compositing techniques to blend stock footage with static imagery created a cohesive, attention-grabbing effect for social media, making the visuals more engaging for quick viewer interaction.
